Ex-Pakistan captain Sana Mir sparked controversy during the Women’s World Cup match between Pakistan and Bangladesh on Thursday, October 2, at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo with remarks about Natalia Pervaiz, referring to her as a player from Azad Kashmir.
The 29-year-old Pervaiz hails from Bandala in Bhimber District of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, which is also being referred to as Azad Kashmir.
