Finding a specialist immigration lawyer in Sweden can be very difficult for many foreign residents, so The Local asked readers to share their own recommendations and experiences.

If you have a migration issue in Sweden, it can be tricky to know which of the 331 firms listed in the Swedish Bar Association's directory as having a migration law practice you should choose.

Should you opt for a big established firm whose lawyers do everything from business contracts to criminal cases, should you go for a small specialist firm with one or two lawyers who only do work permit cases, or should you use a lawyer with a relocation firm contracted to your employer?
