The Philippines was counting the cost of another massive storm on Monday after Super Typhoon Fung-wong battered the country’s northeast, inundating homes, farms and evacuation shelters, and cutting power to areas across Luzon Island less than a week after Typhoon Kalmaegi killed more than 200 people.
At least two people died before the typhoon – the 21st to hit the country this year and the biggest yet – even made landfall around 9.10pm on Sunday on Luzon’s eastern
