LOS ANGELES — Mike Tomlin stood at a podium in the bowels of SoFi Stadium, with a stern look on his face and frustration simmering. Midway through his post-game news conference, he fielded an open-ended question.
How would you assess Aaron’s performance tonight?
The Steelers coach bristled.
“How would you?” Tomlin quipped back. “Next.”

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the offense unraveled behind a slew of three-and-outs and unforced errors, including two Rodgers interceptions (one of which was his fault, the other bounced off Calvin Austin III’s hands) and a sack for a safety. The Steelers didn’t convert a third down until there were less than four minutes remaining, and didn’t find the end zone until garbage time.
