US Attorney General Pam Bondi has ordered a federal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s links to some of President Donald Trump’s political rivals — a move she framed as a response to the president’s demands.
In a post on X, Bondi said she was assigning Manhattan US Attorney Jay Clayton to lead the probe, calling him “one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country.” She said the Justice Department would pursue the matter “with urgency and integrity to deliver answers to the American people.”
