After a year of physical challenges that included intense nerve pain, two spinal surgeries and an Achilles injury, Guy Sebastian is getting back on the musical horse again.

Sebastian first entered the national consciousness after winning the inaugural Australian Idol in 2003.

Since then, his songs have been streamed 1.3 billion times internationally, he has sold 7 million records and won seven ARIA Awards, making him one of Australia's most successful and enduring pop veterans.

But his career, which has included success across the US, Europe and South-East Asia and performances for the Queen, Pope and Oprah, has not come without its challenges.

Sebastian's latest album, 100 Times Around the Sun, is a reflection on the highs and lows of his journey through stardom, and the relationships that have fizzled or galvanised as he has matured.

In many ways, he has made peace with the traumatic themes of his 2020 album T.R.U.T.H, where he wrote of the loss of his friend to suicide.
