YANGON (Xinhua): The wedding of Phone Naing and Thinzar held in July took place inside a modest apartment in Myanmar's Yangon decorated with simple paper flowers.
It was far from the grand ceremony he once imagined -- fewer guests, minimal decorations, and a tight budget. But at that moment, it felt just right, Phone Naing said.
"Everything, from gold to dresses to even small ceremony fees, has become more expensive," said the 33-year-old man.
"But waiting wouldn't make life easier. We wanted to face it together.
