Actor Manoj Manchu recently played the antagonist Black Sword aka Mahabir Lama in Teja Sajja's 'Mirai'. In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, the 42-year-old spoke about portraying negative characters on-screen, using his MMA expertise in fight scenes, his dream role, admiration for SS Rajamouli and more.
When asked about his reaction when he came across the script of 'Mirai', the actor said, "I was totally into the script right away. Without any second thought, I started work on the film."

Manoj further said, "We put our heart and soul into it. We started my ninja and sword training and I also trained in Kalari. For eight months we trained. It was a magical experience while working on this film."
He also shared his experience of working on a songless film. He highlighted, "The director (Karthik Gattamneni) from Day 1 said this movie would have no song. But then, in between, they thought for commercial material there should be something. So they shot the Vibe song.
