When 'Kantara' was first released, it was a modest, regional film with big dreams and no expectations. For Rishab Shetty and his wife, Pragathi Shetty, it was simply about telling a story rooted in their culture, their land, and their beliefs. In an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, the two artistes spoke about how they didnβt foresee the phenomenon 'kantara' would become - the film transcending language barriers, becoming a national conversation, and its prequel, 'Kantara Chapter 1', turning into a spiritual and cinematic event.

Pragathi recalls that beginning with a sense of awe:
"The first 'Kantara' was a very small regional movie for us. We didn't expect it to become this phenomenon. The journey itself is special. It is getting bigger and bigger," she said.
