Tears, relief, and gratitude marked the moment as families of Israeli hostages hailed US President Donald Trump for his “courage” after he announced that Israel and Hamas had agreed to the first phase of his 20-point peace plan to pause the war in the besieged enclave and release hostages and prisoners.
Standing together in Washington, members of the Hostages and Missing Families Forum greeted the news with “excitement, hope and concern” and vowed to keep pushing until all 48 hostages return home.
