It’s not an exaggeration that for a long, long time, women found it awkward and embarrassing to ask for something as basic as leave or WFH during their periods. However, with the Karnataka government approving menstrual leave for women, one day every month, at least some women can be free from that embarrassment!
While women across the state (and beyond) welcomed the decision, there’s a quieter, equally important conversation emerging in offices and on social media — how do men really feel about period leave in general?

“I’m definitely on board with this decision,” says Harprateek, a 25-year-old communications professional from Gurugram.
