New Zealand finally got off the mark in the Women's World Cup 2025 as they thrashed Bangladesh by 100 runs in Guwahati on Friday, October 10. After posting a target of 228 runs, the White Ferns bowlers were able to run through the Bangladesh batting lineup and bundle them out for just 127 runs.
New Zealand once again depended on captain Sophie Devine to bail them out with a fine 63 off 85 balls and Brooke Halliday's 69 after the top-order once again failed to impress. But with the ball, New Zealand didn't miss a beat.
Jess Kerr and Lea Tahuhu got three wickets each as the Bangladesh top-order crumbled in Guwahati.
