The Supreme Court on Friday (October 10, 2025) asked the Tamil Nadu government if the post-mortems of those who died in the Karur stampede were conducted in just three to four hours after the tragedy.

Forty-one people died on September 27 in the crush and mayhem during a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) rally, while 146 persons were injured. “You conducted the post-mortems in three or four hours? How many tables were there?” Justice J.K. Maheshwari asked senior advocate P.
