Paul Thomas Anderson thrives in chaos, and with 'One Battle After Another', he embraces it like never before. Returning to Thomas Pynchon’s universe after 'Inherent Vice' (2015), Anderson riffs on the 1990 novel 'Vineland', transforming it into a pulpy, political, and unexpectedly tender action thriller which is equal parts absurd, funny, and unapologetically over the top.

At the film’s centre is Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio), a washed-up ex-revolutionary and single father who spends most of his time high or drunk.
