Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday met the family of Hariom Valmiki, the Dalit man lynched in Raebareli earlier this month. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Gandhi alleged that the UP government was intimidating the family and had instructed them not to meet him.

"The family did not commit the crime. A crime has been committed against them, and it seems as if they are the criminals. They are not being allowed to go out of their house. They are being threatened," the Congress leader said.
