A man accused of stabbing his girlfriend 48 years ago will finally face trial after being on the run for nearly five decades. The Mumbai Sessions Court has granted bail to 81-year-old Chandrashekhar Madhukar Kalekar, who had been “absconding” since 1977 in a case involving an attempt to murder his girlfriend in Colaba, South Mumbai.
