The Ahmedabad Crime Branch has arrested five people in connection with the theft of 117 kilograms and 336 grams of silver jewellery from the Shri Laxmi Vardha Jain Sangh – Jain Derasar temple in the city’s Paladi area. The stolen silver, valued at around Rs 1.64 crore, was meant for the decoration and offerings to the temple deities, officials said.
