In a recent social media post, MAGA podcaster Candace Owens railed against individuals who thought they could fill any leadership void that may have been created by the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
"You put a shill in Charlie Kirk's chair, in Charlie Kirk's company, and you try to tell us to follow that individual, I will be an enemy of you. There will be nothing that can stop me," said Owens, whose YouTube channel has about 4.5 million subscribers.
Although Owens didn't refer to anyone specific, some on social media have speculated she may have been referring to conservative commentator Ben Shapiro and/or hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman.
Owens, a conspiracy theorist who regularly engages in antisemitic diatribes against Jews and Israel — and has recently posited that the Israeli government may have been involved in Kirk's death — has taken issue with both Shapiro and Ackman, who are both Trump supporters and staunch defenders of Israel.
But her own relationship with Kirk has recently come into question, with reports emerging that Kirk had distanced himself from the popular conservative influencer over her increasingly extremist views and theories.
