Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already offered a glimpse that New Delhi is ready for that diplomatic game, which has the potential to act as a booster for the Indo-US ties, particularly when they are going through a low phase.

Trump has been on a mission to conquer the Nobel Peace Prize. He has claimed credit for ending "seven un-endable wars", proofs of which are sketchy at best. Now, he has struck a "deal" for Gaza, projecting it as a roadmap to end the Israel-Hamas war just a week before the second anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks that plunged the Middle East into a new crisis.
India has welcomed the initiative, with PM Modi calling it a "viable pathway" for peace and development for both Palestinians and Israelis.
