The Rajasthan Police have busted a major interstate cybercrime network that allegedly hacked into several government welfare portals, including the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi, Jan Aadhaar, Raj SSP (Social Security Pension) and Disaster Management Departmentβs DMIS portal, syphoning off funds meant for beneficiaries.
The crackdown, codenamed Operation Shutdown, began on October 22 and has so far led to the arrest of six people and the detention of two others, including government employees from Delhi, Jaipur, Punjab, Bharatpur, Dausa and Jodhpur.
