Manipur Lok Sabha MP Dr Bimol Akoijam on Monday tore into former Chief Minister N Biren Singh, accusing him of “hypocrisy, misinformation, and political insincerity” over the state’s ongoing crisis.
At a press conference at his Keishamthong residence, Akoijam said Singh had no moral right to comment on the internally displaced persons (IDP) issue, calling it “a tragedy of his own making.”

“The IDP crisis was born out of his failure as Chief Minister and Home Minister,” he said.
