Former Bihar Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi have moved a Delhi court seeking relaxation from day-to-day hearings in the IRCTC scam case, in which they, along with their son Tejashwi Yadav and others, face charges of corruption, criminal conspiracy, and cheating.
An application filed on their behalf requested that the matter be listed only once a week instead of daily, as earlier directed by the court. The plea came up for hearing before Special Judge (PC Act) Vishal Gogne of the Rouse Avenue Courts, who had on October 13 framed criminal charges against the Yadav family and 10 other accused, ordering that the trial proceed on a day-to-day basis from October 27.
