Six hundred nine total pitches were thrown between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays in a duel that lasted 18 innings, tied for the longest World Series game in the Fall Classic’s 121-year history.

The contest will be remembered for Freddie Freeman’s walk-off homer, which sealed a 6-5 victory and put Los Angeles up 2-1 in the best-of-seven series. However, the ramifications will be felt throughout the remainder of the series.
