The ODI series might have been entertaining due to the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, but it is finally time for some serious business in India's tour of Australia. The World No. 1 and World No. 2 go up against each other in the T20I format right before the T20 World Cup, and the 5-match series is expected to have a lot of bearing on the preparation of both sides, mentally at least.

This is the only T20I series that India play outside of subcontinental conditions in the build-up to the T20 World Cup, so it is unlikely to have a lot of combinational changes in the aftermath of the series. But the winner of this 5-match series will surely carry the bragging rights going into the world tournament, set to be hosted by India in the months of February and March next year.
World Champions India have been exceptional under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav. A team that was already naturally aggressive under Rohit Sharma seems to have ramped it up a notch due to the inclusion of explosive opener Abhishek Sharma and attacking spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav.
