The Department of Justice is considering handing over part of the newly acquired Citywest site to An Garda Síochána for a new station following recent violence in the area.
Last month, the State formally completed the purchase of the Citywest Hotel site in Saggart, Dublin, for €148 million. It was bought to be used as a permanent International Protection Accommodation Service (IPAS) centre.
