For most people, success is a sudden explosion. For Harshvardhan Rane, it has been a slow burn, making him feel ignored and misunderstood but never bitter. Today, with 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' turning into one of the hits of the year and the 'Sanam Teri Kasam' re-release finding an unexpectedly massive response, Rane is finally enjoying what he calls "the result of my triple PhD in being underestimated."

"Being ignored helped me out," he smiles in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in, with that familiar restraint in his tone -- half gratitude, half reflection. "My triple PhD in being underestimated helped me out. But thanks to this man, Anshul Garg (the producer of the film), now maybe people wouldn't call it a fluke. In February 2025, when 'Sanam Teri Kasam' was re-released, a lot of people in the industry -- in front of me were very warm, very nice. But when I turned away, I heard them whisper that it was a fluke. So now, with 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat', hopefully, they will understand.
