In a perfectly deadpan post on X, the OpenAI CEO announced that the next version of ChatGPT will be called, drum roll, “GPT 6-7.” At first glance, it sounds like a versioning error or a math riddle. But in true 2025 fashion, it’s actually a nod to “6 7”, the internet’s most baffling slang phrase, and, unbelievably, Dictionary.com’s Word of the Year. The same man who built technology to understand human language has now borrowed a phrase that deliberately refuses to mean anything.
