TORONTO – The Los Angeles Dodgers survived in all facets on Friday, clinging on in the ninth inning in a bonkers late-game sequence and game-ending double play from Kiké Hernández in left field to Miguel Rojas to hold on to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 and force a Game 7 in the World Series.

Kiké Hernández flashes the leather to save the day

This is his month, after all. But Hernández’s October shine typically comes with the bat, not his glove. This time, it was his strong jump in left field to track down Andrés Giménez’s liner toward the gap, and the awareness to throw out Addison Barger at second base, that helped the Dodgers escape with a 3-1 win. When Tyler Glasnow entered, it was runners on second and third, no one out in a two-run game. How he escaped?
