As per University Living's European Student Landscape: Beyond Beds and Benches report, Portugal accounted for a total of 424,185 students for the 2023–2024 academic year, of which 86.5% (366,776) were local, while 13.5% (57,409) were foreign, showing that country is beginning to attract international students to come and study at Portugal.
