Marrakech – Saham Bank has signed a strategic partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) that will cover 50% of the risk on a $500 million loan portfolio to Moroccan businesses.

The agreement, announced on Wednesday, will strengthen Saham Bank’s capacity to support private sector development in Morocco by ensuring fluid access to financing for local companies while consolidating the resilience of the national banking system.

Under this partnership, IFC will share up to 50% of the credit risk on Saham Bank’s $500 million portfolio of loans to Moroccan businesses.
