In Roi Roi Binale, an Assamese film that has set several records, Zubeen plays a blind singer, Raul. Calling his music teacher Victor his God, Raul says it was he who helped him "see the world".

Now, Zubeen Garg could have gone with any actor to play Victor, a cameo but crucial one. However, he roped in veteran actor Victor Banerjee. So, Victor Banerjee plays Victor in the movie, helping a blind Zubeen see the world through music. There's a real-life overlap here. Banerjee runs a school for the blind in Assam, and helps visually impaired children "see" just like Raul in Roi Roi Binale.
"Zubeen had requested once earlier that he wanted me to act in a film he was making. Then he called up and said two days were all that was needed," Victor Banerjee tells India Today Digital.
Zubeen Garg knew that Victor Banerjee ran the Moran Blind School in Dibrugarh district.
