The Supreme Court on Friday ordered the complete removal of stray dogs from near educational institutions, bus and railway stations, and sports facilities, directing that they be relocated to shelters a fter vaccination and sterilisation in accordance with the Animal Birth Control Rules .
A bench of Justices Vikram Nath, Sandeep Mehta and NV Anjaria also ordered that the animals should not be released back to the locations from which they were captured.
