Goldberg: Part of the irony of all of this is that the Democrats are basically begging the Republicans to let the Democrats save them from the political consequences of their own ideology. I think it goes without saying that huge spikes in insurance are going to be pretty bad for Republicans. And so the Democrats’ big ask in all of this is something that’s substantively, obviously the right thing to do.
