Nationals Leader David Littleproud says he is happy for inner-city Liberals to have their "dreams" of welcoming a net-zero world, revealing the rural party has no major gripes heading into talks to settle a Coalition climate policy.

While some Liberals have privately raised alarm at their party going into negotiations with the Nationals with "no red lines" for hashing out a deal, their junior Coalition party is relaxed about the likelihood of the process resulting in an agreeable policy.

Mr Littleproud told the ABC the position announced by the Liberals this week so closely mirrored the stance taken by the Nationals that he was confident negotiations on the "finer details" of the net zero policy would be settled by Sunday.
