No. 11 Oklahoma stayed in the College Football Playoff race with a 23-21 road upset of No. 4 Alabama on Saturday and muddled the picture at the top of the SEC while doing it.

Oklahoma’s Eli Bowen returned Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson’s second interception of the season 87 yards for a touchdown and his brother Peyton Bowen broke up a fourth-down pass to end a potential game-winning drive from Simpson and Alabama. Oklahoma won the turnover battle 3-0 and allowed just 7 second-half points, shutting out Alabama on its final four drives to secure the win despite being outgained 406-212. The Crimson Tide also missed a 36-yard field goal as the first half ended, a blocked kick that proved to be a deciding play.
