Euan Robertson Idlewild have returned with their first album in six years
Idlewild cut their teeth playing small pubs and tiny clubs around Scotland - now the indie rock veterans feel those venues need protected for generations to come. Scores of venues have been forced to close in recent years, with some never recovering from revenue lost during the Covid shutdown in 2020. "These venues become like community centres for music fans. They need to be protected the way a library would be, as they're so important to culture," says guitarist Rod Jones.
