A former co-host of a Toronto radio show spoke in detail about alleged verbal abuse and gender-based discrimination at the Corus Entertainment Inc. program during a human rights tribunal hearing into her complaints Monday.
Jennifer Valentyne alleged while she was co-host of Q107's Derringer in the Morning from 2017 to 2019, her co-hosts Ryan Parker, Johnny Garbutt and John Derringer engaged in "guy talk" β which included showing pornographic videos, discussing women's breasts or attractiveness and calling women names, such as "cows."
The hearing at the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal comes after the popular rock station radio show was put on hiatus in May 2022. At the time, Corus Entertainment Inc.
