Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan has helmed the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government in Kerala for over nine years now, emerging as one of the most powerful leaders in the state’s history. In his 10th year in power and just months away from assembly elections, Vijayan could do with some more seasoned political strategists to effectively take on the Opposition.

Having won back to back assembly polls since 2016, Vijayan has inflicted heavy damage on the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) and forcefully taken on the BJP in the state.
