Gold and silver prices opened marginally lower on Thursday, pausing after a strong rally to record highs earlier this week. The dip comes as investors booked profits at elevated levels amid global market volatility.

MINOR DIP AFTER HITTING LIFETIME HIGHS

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold December futures were down 0.37% at Rs 1,22,749 per 10 grams around 9:45 am, while silver December futures slipped 0.89% to Rs 1,48,524 per kilogram.
