Snapchat is taking a major leap in artificial intelligence with a new partnership that could redefine how users interact with the app. Snap Inc. has teamed up with AI startup Perplexity to bring its powerful search and answer engine directly into Snapchat chats, a deal worth $400 million in cash and equity, with revenue expected to flow in from 2026.
The announcement immediately boosted investor confidence, sending Snap’s shares up by nearly 16 per cent in after-hours trading.
