The leader of the national conservative Danish People’s Party (DF), Morten Messerschmidt, has called for thousands of foreign nationals to be deported from Denmark.

In an interview with the conservative broadsheet Weekendavisen, Messerschmidt said foreign nationals in Denmark who receive welfare benefits should be expelled from the country.
