Should foreign residents in Denmark be barred from voting in future local elections? Danish People’s Party (DF) leader Morten Messerschmidt thinks they should.
But this was not the most headline-grabbing statement made by the DF leader recently.
First, he wrote in a Facebook post on October 29th that “all” foreign nationals be denied the right to vote in local elections.
Decrying the "surrender" of allowing foreign nationals to vote in elections, he wrote that "if it was up to me, they'd all lose their voting rights today!"
"ONLY DANES should decide what happens in Denmark!," he screeched.
