New Gujarat Cabinet sworn in: Harsh Sanghvi named Deputy CM, Rivaba Jadeja among new faces
A total of 21 new Ministers were sworn in on Friday (October 17, 2025) as part of Gujarat’s newly constituted Cabinet under Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. It follows Thursday’s (October 16, 2025) mass resignation of all Ministers in the State government, except the Chief Minister himself. Former Gujarat Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi, a prominent young leader from Surat, took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister. With the swearing of new 21 Ministers, the Cabinet size became 26 including the Chief Minister.
