Maharashtra government on Thursday (November 6, 2025) ordered a high level inquiry, suspended two persons and registered a police complaint related to an alleged ₹300 crore land deal controversy allegedly involving Parth Pawar, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son. Opposition parties have sought a judicial probe. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ordered an inquiry into the land deal, which will be conducted by Vikas Kharge, Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue department.
“He will probe whether this was a reservation land or government land, the allegations of illegalities in the land deal, whether due procedure was followed in the matter,” a senior officer told The Hindu.
