The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has released a list of 203 tertiary institutions that failed to upload their studentsโ€™ data for the 2024/2025 student loan application exercise.

It also announced the reopening of the portal for 48 hours to allow institutions yet to comply to do so.

The Guardian reports that institutions are required to upload their studentsโ€™ information onto the agencyโ€™s Student Loan Application System (SLAS), which allows the students to apply for the loan.

A statement late Friday by the Fundโ€™s Director of Strategic Communications, Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, said the portal will be accessible from 12:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2025, to 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

The Spokesperson said the extension is intended to ensure that all eligible students are duly captured and verified by their respective institutions as part of the ongoing 2024/2025 NELFUND loan application process.

โ€œInstitutions are strongly advised to make full use of this final opportunity. Failure to complete the verification process within the stipulated period will result in the affected institutions forfeiting participation in the current loan cycle, a situation that will, regrettably, disadvantage their students who are the ultimate beneficiaries of the loan scheme,โ€ the statement reads.

Here is the full list of the defaulting 203 institutions as released by the Fund:
