Ahmedabad has been officially confirmed as the host city for the 2030 Centenary Commonwealth Games, giving India a major global sporting event for the first time since it hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2010 in Delhi. Delegates from 74 Commonwealth member nations and territories approved Indiaβs bid during the Commonwealth Sport General Assembly in Glasgow.
Indiaβs vision for the 2030 Games positioned Ahmedabad, or Amdavad, as a modern and culturally rich city capable of staging a memorable Centenary edition.
