The Women's Premier League mega auction concluded in New Delhi with a total of 67 players getting sold to five franchises. Indian players were in focus right after their ODI World Cup win and were in high demand among the franchises. A total of 44 Indian players earned bids in the mega auction on Thursday, November 27.
Player of the tournament in the ODI World Cup, Deepti Sharma, came out as the most expensive player of the day, bagging a massive sum of Rs 3.20 crore, which was 60 lakh more than her previous value. She returned to her home team UP Warriorz, a team that had released her ahead of the mega auction but still wanted the option to bring her back.

WPL Auction 2026: As it Happened
Warriorz, who had retained just one player going into the auction, took time to reset their squad. They also RTMed (Right to Match) four of their players, buying them back from the auction table.
