Scammers localise to lure job seekers

Scammers have exploited job seekers by tailoring their tactics to local conditions and economic needs, warns SEEK, the parent company of Jobsdb and Jobstreet.
Across the region, fraudsters are becoming more sophisticated by customising their approach for each market, targeting roles and industries where job seekers are most vulnerable, said Duangporn Promon, managing director of Jobsdb by SEEK Thailand.
"As a leader in the job industry, we see it as our responsibility to help build a safer, more transparent job market in Thailand," she said.
