Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former prince, has been stripped of his remaining royal titles by King Charles.
Mountbatten-Windsor announced in October he would give up his title of Duke of York and honours following a discussion with his brother, the King.
He later had his royal titles stripped and was told to leave the royal lodge.
Mountbatten-Windsor has also had his military titles removed.
A notice posted in the London Gazette directed that Mountbatten-Windsor's two remaining royal titles be cancelled.
The notice read:
"THE KING has directed that the appointment of Andrew Albert Christian Edward MOUNTBATTEN-WINDSOR to be a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, dated 23 April 2006, shall be cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order.
