A coalition of Northern groups under the aegis of the Northern Youth Frontiers (NYF), on Thursday, criticised former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for his recent declaration supporting planned protests to demand the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The group described Atiku’s position as “deeply inconsistent and ethically troubling,” arguing that it raises serious concerns about his credibility and suitability to lead Nigeria.
